This is Thompson Estate’s top red and a 94-pointers by James Halliday. “Andrea” is the middle name of wine maker Peter Thompson’s wife Jane. Developed red fruit, cassis, coconut and oak nose. Supple and sweet, forward style. Quite ambitious, soft, and sexy. Intensity of fruit and long finish. About full-bodied. Great with braised pork, duck, lamb and beef whether roasted, pan fried or in a stew.
