Game's 5th album, Jesus Piece made its debut this week at number 6 position on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, but it holds the position of the number one highest selling rap album on the Billboard Chart this week...it sold 87,000 copies after one week in stores. Wiz Khalifa sold 40,000 copies second week of his O.N.I.F.C album, putting it at a total of 182,000.Cee Lo Green's Christmas album, Cee Lo's Magic Moment sold 36,000 copies this week, and now totals at 113,000. I guess this is the season for this album, so it would probably see a surge in sales in the next couple of weeks. Big Boi's latest album, Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumours sold 30,000 copies after a full week in stores.
Kendrick Lamar has reached Gold status with his Good Kid, M.A.A.D City album. I think this is the album that got to Gold status the fastest this year. There is still no hip hop album that has attained platinum status this year. GKMC sold 24,000 copies this week, and now stands at 506,000 total. It is now on the road to Platinum.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis The Heist album sold 12,000 copies this week, to put the album at 176,000 total so far. Nicki Minaj's The Re-Up sold 9,800 copies this week. The combined sales of The Re-Up and the original Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album is now at 759,000. Meek Mill's Dreams & Nightmares album sold 7,800 copies this week, and is now at a total of 274,000.
