Which is why we have People's Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed products and single out the most convincing ones. (You can learn more about our rating system and how we pick each item here.) And while we've written about the best shoes for women before — including comfortable shoes for travel and being on your feet all day, shoes for working out and running, and even water shoes — here, we've rounded up the best Nike shoes for women, as praised by the most enthusiastic reviewers on Zappos. Best-rated (and least expensive) women's Nike shoes Nike Benassi JDI Slide "This is the perfect price for a quick, summer slip-on slide shoe that's also cute," raves one reviewer, and many more are fans of the affordable and stylish sandal. "The minute I put my feet into these shoes I felt like I was walking on a cloud — no joke," writes a happy reviewer. Another adds, "My feet breathe and are so comfortable in these." They also come in handy in a variety of situations. One reviewer calls them "great shoes to slip on in a hurry to go to the store or take out the trash. They could even be great after a pedicure or during a day of swimming." Another says, "I travel a lot so these are perfect airport shoes with some socks so I can slip them off and not touch the nasty ground, and perfect for post-workouts, too." Even at the low price point, they're very durable and supportive. A reviewer who wears them while standing on hardwood floors all day says they "provide adequate arch support and are very comfortable." One reviewer explains, "although I got mine a little over a year ago and wear them mostly everyday, they still are in such great condition," and another notes, "they are well made and hold up to regular washing by hand in the sink with a little dish soap." "The footbed is phenomenal — just as comfy as my beloved Birkenstocks. I can walk for miles in these." Others tend to agree, like this reviewer who says, "I have tried every shoe recommended for gals on their feet. I have spent hundreds on athletic shoes, walking shoes, clogs, etc. No shoe has ever been as comfortable as the Tanjun." Reviewers also like that they're good for travel: "They were easy to slip on and off when going through airport security. They were super-comfortable, lightweight, and great for walking while out sightseeing," writes a reviewer who purchased them for a trip. And even one reviewer who says, "I have many foot problems, too numerous to bore you with," calls them the "most comfortable shoes I've put on my funky feet in quite a while."  Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Beloved among runners for being both lightweight and cushioned, the Pegasus is a favorite of reviewers, as well. "I am an avid runner and have been doing half-marathons in these guys," writes one reviewer, and another says, "running on these is a dream! There is plenty of cushion and plenty of responsiveness to keep my feet feeling comfortable throughout the duration of a run." Even those who don't run are fans, like this reviewer who says, "the style is off the chain!"  Nike Free RN 2018 Lots of reviewers noted that these flexible running shoes "require no breaking in" and "are instantly comfortable." A runner who's on her "fourth or fifth pair," says, "these are lightweight, comfortable, and not constraining while still offering sufficient sole protection for road (and gravel) running," and another similarly says, "the lightweight material and flexibility gives you the support you need without added weight. It's like walking on a cloud."  Nike Air Zoom Winflo 5 "I have had a heck of a time finding shoes that work with overpronation," writes a reviewer. "However, these shoes have changed my life! These shoes feel better than being barefoot. I can walk more than three miles a day without pain at all." Others looking for a stability shoe (one that prevents the foot from rolling excessively inward which can cause pain and injuries), are just as happy with the Air Zoom Winflo. One reviewer says the "stability feels great and helps with overpronation," and another writes, "they have the perfect amount of arch support and cushion to walk around all day and are excellent for running. I overpronate and these provided me enough stability without orthotics."  Nike Run Swift "I've been running in Asics for 10+ years but decided to make the switch to Nike and I do not regret it! These shoes provide just as much support without being so bulky," writes one reviewer, and many more echo the sentiment that the Run Swift is a very comfortable running shoe in a lightweight package. "I feel like I'm walking on marshmallows," says a reviewer, and this one likes that "they are light without being flimsy and they offer enough support for exercise." A regular runner writes, "I've had shoes that were similarly lightweight, but they gave me shin splints, approaching a stress fracture, almost from the first day I got them. With these shoes, not only did the knee and ankle pain from my last pair clear up and not return, but I haven't encountered any other issues either."  Nike Revolution 4 If you're looking for affordable shoes that can still handle serious running, the Revolution is a safe bet. A 70-year-old runner who runs "5-6 miles a day," says it's "the only running shoe I wear," and that "no one can beat Nike for lightweight, cushioned, inexpensive running shoes." Another reviewer says the Revolution was "exactly what I was looking for — a casual run-around shoe that wasn't massive and didn't cost an arm and a leg."  Nike Roshe One For a casual shoe for everyday wear, reviewers love the sleek-looking Roshe One. "They are both comfortable and really cute," writes a reviewer. "These are going to be among my most favorite casual shoes." Several reviewers "love that they were made to be worn with or without socks," and more than a few agree with this reviewer, who says they're "the most comfortable and stylish sneakers I've owned." Finally, a Roshe One superfan admits, "I ordered 10 more pairs in different color combos!"  Nike Court Royale Reviewers find this shoe surprisingly stylish for a casual sneaker. "The simple, clean lines invoke a timeless tennis shoe look, and silver swoosh adds a little sparkle," writes one buyer, and another calls them "attractive and very classic." Lots agree with this reviewer who says, "these sneakers are fashionable and comfortable," or as another reviewer puts it, "they are sleek and understated and different than all the Stan Smiths and Vans you see everywhere."  Nike Tanjun Sandal Owners of these sandals love the sporty, strappy look along with how functional they are for warm weather activities. "These are extremely comfortable and make any outfit stylish and comfortable," writes one reviewer. "I wear them all the time!" Another says, "I originally bought these in black and wore them ALL SUMMER last year. I work with kids and we're doing all sorts of water activities, beach trips, and other things, and they are perfect."  Nike Benassi Duo Ultra Slide Like our top-rated style, this sandal is an easy-to-wear slide style that gets lots of praise from reviewers for its comfort and looks. "The sandal is fashionable," writes one reviewer, "they are comfortable and cute," and another calls them "super stylish and [they] stay on my feet better with the second band." Others like that "you can wear them to the grocery store or to the beach," and "you can get them wet and they dry pretty quick without the worry of any mildewy/moldy wet dog smell." "Damian Lillard's shoes made me switch channels," one user wrote. "You can probably see Damian Lillard's shoes from the International Space Station," wrote another. The shoes appear to be the Adidas Dame 5 that Lillard wore during the 2019 McDonald's All-American Powerade Jam Fest complete with black strips on the back of the shoes that say, "Jam Fest." | The Best Road Running Shoes of 2019 - Outside Magazine Posted: 15 May 2019 09:23 AM PDT Skechers Performance GoRun 7 Hyper ($125) Here's a true zero-to-hero story. Last year the Skechers GoRun barely got our attention. One model later, our testers won't take them off their feet. What changed? It's a more versatile shoe, balancing soft cushioning for recovery days with plenty of pop and energy for tempo runs. Skechers hit a gold mine with its new midsole compound, called Hyper Burst. Using a proprietary, mechanically blown process, the brand lightened up the foam by 15 percent while increasing durability over its previous midsole. As one tester put it, "Whatever deal with the devil Skechers had to strike was worth it. This midsole has a ton of energy and zing. The Hyper Burst foam is soft to the touch but doesn't feel mushy." Underfoot, severe rocker slings mid- or forefoot strikers with each stride. The knit upper is so cozy that one tester said, "If my slippers were running shoes, this is what they would feel like." Don't let the bland aesthetics fool you: Skechers is the undisputed champion with this GoRun. 7.8 oz (men's) / 6.1 oz (women's); 4 mm drop On Running Cloudsurfer ($150) Best Racer From the Swiss company that patented the CloudTec system—funky rubber pods that compress when you step and release on toe-off—comes the fast-feeling Cloudsurfer. This shoe runs lighter than it is. Testers loved that it was "responsive yet cushioned," with a "snappy feel." Smooth transitions, a secure fit around the heel, and traction on wet surfaces (the new zigzag pattern on each outsole pod is a winner) inspired us to pick up the pace. Long-haul comfort comes from the pliable engineered-mesh upper and two layers of EVA foam. Note: small rocks tend to get lodged between the pods, so keep this shoe on the road. 11.6 oz (men's) / 9.3 oz (women's); 6 mm drop Brooks Glycerin 17 ($150) Most Cushioned We'll admit, words like cushy, responsive, and smooth have become a bit cliché. (We'll also cop to overusing them.) But the Glycerin 17 raises the standard by which all other maximalist shoes should be judged. As one tester put it, this shoe is "cushioned to perfection." The magic is in the midsole—a mixture of EVA, rubber, and air called DNA Loft. Rubber boosts the EVA's longevity, while air reduces weight, giving "a soft ride and a light bounce that keep you comfortable," as one tester put it. From recovery runs to long outings, this high-mileage workhorse's pillowy landings and efficient transitions left us grinning. 10.6 oz (men's) / 9.2 oz (women's); 10 mm drop ASICS Gel-DS Trainer 24 ($130) Best Speedster for Large Runners The Gel-DS Trainer has long been a go-to for those who like to run fast but need some stability. It's always been lightweight, sleek, and semi-firm, but this year the fit gets amazing: it's the first ASICS shoe to join the knit-upper revolution. And we dig it. Testers said it was breathable and accommodating, though it took a couple of runs to break in. The firm midsole and solid traction—thanks to small lugs made with ASICS's high-abrasion rubber—add to the agile ride, most noticeably in tight turns and while accelerating. A low-volume shoe with a secure heel, the Gel-DS Trainer makes you feel locked, loaded, and ready to fly. 8.7 oz (men's) / 7.1 oz (women's); 8 mm drop Hoka One One Arahi 3 ($130) Most Supportive Running shoes used to have to sacrifice weight and cushion for stability. When it debuted in 2017, the Arahi challenged that status quo. The third iteration continues the original's trend-bucking ways—weighing eight ounces for women and under ten for men, it's one of the lightest stability shoes on the market. Hoka gave the upper new life by removing the overlays and softening the mesh, resulting in a much airier, more comfortable feel. On the road, the Arahi's thick stack and wide waist produce a steady ride. The downside, as one neutral-footed tester noted, is that the extreme girth felt somewhat clunky and blocky. 9.6 oz (men's) / 8 oz (women's); 5 mm drop Salomon Sonic RA 2 ($130) Best for Lightweight Stability Some shoes need a little love to reveal their true colors. The Sonic RA is one of them. Testers found it stiff out of the box, with a firm ride. But after a few outings, the Energycell Plus midsole came alive; testers able to produce enough force to flex the forefoot during toe-off were rewarded with a propulsive spring forward. Slimmer runners may struggle to get the same result. The new upper—seamless engineered mesh—is a welcome change. Overall, this is a scrappy lightweight that can take a beating, and one of the most durable of our test. "A good midrange shoe with comfort, support, and stability," said one tester. 9.2 oz (men's) / 7.8 oz (women's); 8 mm drop New Balance 1080v9 ($150) Best for All-Day Comfort Yes, this is a supremely cushioned neutral shoe, but the lack of medial post or targeted structure would usually scare off anyone needing stability. So we were pleasantly surprised by the 1080v9's steadiness. We chalk it up to the shoe's new 3-D-molded heel collar, an engineered-mesh upper that wraps securely around the arch for a supportive fit, and a broad midsole and outsole base under the forefoot. And the cush? The ninth iteration of this shoe boasts full-length New Balance Fresh Foam, a midsole testers called "springy" and "speed inspiring."
